Email Client
An email client is a desktop software application meant to run on your
computer so that you can compose, send and receive emails. Well known
email clients are Microsoft Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook, Netscape
Mail and Eudora Pro / Light.
Your incoming emails are collected and stored at your hosting provider.
You can then access your emails using the web-based mail or download
them to your computer.
It is highly recommended that you download your emails regularly and not
leave them at your hosting provider. Accumulating your emails online often
results in difficulties receiving new emails, especially those with
attachments.
To download your email to your computer, you will need an email client.
If your computer is running on Microsoft Windows, chances are you already
have Microsoft Outlook Express email client pre-installed for you. It
comes free with Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 onwards.
